It’s that time of year again! The UCI has published its 2013 calendars for the WorldTour and respective Continental Circuits. Cycling iQ has put together a simple map of all scheduled UCI World Tour, Asia Tour and Oceania road cycling events to be held in the Asia-Pacific region during the upcoming 2013 season.
A lot can change in a year. For starters, the Tour de India (the 2012 edition was abandoned) is nowhere to be seen in 2013, nor is the Tour of Pakistan. There are new stage races in Australia, China, Indonesia and Vietnam, whilst other events – such as the Tour de Korea, Tour of Borneo and Jelajah Malaysia – have taken up residence in a different month. Where there were 12 races to the west of China in season 2012, there are only 9 for season 2013. A number even more startling is this; there are 50 race days in China alone. A full analysis of the 2013 racing calendar will be was posted at Cycling iQ soon in December 2012.
Please note: not all event’s websites have been refreshed to make way for 2013, whilst other events are missing websites entirely. I’ll update this table when/if new information becomes available. [Last update: 05.08.2013]. Additionally, arrows are positioned to identify the country where each event is going to take place, but arrows do not pinpoint the actual starting town if there isn’t sufficient space to cluster the arrows without making numbers illegible.
